The start of eighth grade brings lots of stress for Jay. Not only does he seem to be struggling to reconnect with his friends after summer break, but his acne has only gotten worse, leaving him feeling self-conscious all the time. When nothing else seems to even touch his acne, Jay’s parents finally take him to a dermatologist for help. Jay’s new doctor prescribes him a treatment that will take months of careful monitoring, food, and check-ups.
